Samuel Beckett: First Love
Gare St Lazare Players, Ireland
Sorry this event has been and gone.
NZ PREMIERE.
A compelling encounter with a man reflecting on his first romance,
First Love is full of Samuel Beckett's trademark dark
humour. A masterpiece of Beckettian perversion, First Love
turns the traditional love story on its head.
Acclaimed interpreters of Samuel Beckett's plays, novels and
short stories, Conor Lovett performs and Judy Hegarty Lovett
directs First Love.
Hailed for their fresh and accessible interpretations, Conor
Lovett and Judy Hegarty Lovett have collaborated on over 17 Beckett
titles, touring to more than 22 countries with their precise and
elegant work.
Gare St Lazare Players will also be performing Beckett's The End as part of the
2011 Festival programme.
