adult).Experience and explore the rich aural mosaic of city life.
Bring good walking shoes.
THE CITY AS SOUND project is an intriguing guided walk designed
to introduce young people to the city through its sound. During the
walk participants investigate the idea that the world is naturally
musical, an infinitely complex orchestra of instruments constantly
in the process of creating spontaneous compositions.
As the walk winds its way though various sonic enclaves and
acoustic fields of the city, participants are given the opportunity
to experience and explore the rich aural mosaic of city life, the
way sounds relate to each other and to the spaces they inhabit.
